Reflexology is the study of reflexes and a natural therapeutic method based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands, and ears that correspond to every part, gland, and organ of the body. When the reflexes are accessed with specific finger techniques, energy is stimulated throughout the body, clearing away blockages and actual physical deposits that can be felt in the skin. Reflexology not only effects the state of balance and health of the body, but also the mental and emotional states, assisting in releasing negativity and trapped emotions.
Reflexology Therapy facilitates optimum functioning of all the systems of the body. It is in these ways that it supports the body in its process of healing and maintaining optimum health. From around the world, scientific research has shown that Reflexology is effective in helping a diverse range of health conditions: PMS, kidney stones, constipation, childbirth, arthritis, internal pain, tension headaches, the pain suffered by persons with terminal cancer, diabetes type II, and fibromyalgia, among others.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) originates from osteopathy and is a gentle, impactful, alternative treatment that works with the body, never against it. Craniosacral Therapy (CST) originates from osteopathy and is a gentle, impactful, alternative treatment that works with the body, never against it. It is an intuitive, non-invasive, hands-on technique that focuses on the root cause(s) of underlying health conditions, while releasing tensions deep in the central nervous system which allows the other body systems to relax and self-correct. Because all the parts of the body are connected and act as a whole, this releasing and balancing has an influence on the overall health of the person, allowing the body to relax and self-correct. In supporting this innate wisdom, CST encourages and assists the body in restoring homeostasis and to heal itself, to relieve pain, dysfunction, and improve whole-body function and performance.
Craniosacral Therapy is a great complement to any other therapy being received and is suitable for everyone. It helps with chronic stress, anxiety, migraine’s, back pain, addictions, while recovering from surgery, chronic fatigue, insomnia, digestive problems, powerlessness, depression, illness, injury, trauma, PTSD, chronic pain, sleep challenges, immune disorders, Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ), Fibromyalgia, Learning Disabilities, ADD, ADHD, brain health, and more.

Craniosacral Therapist

I am a Registered Biodynamic Cranialsacral Therapist and a graduate of the internationally recognized Body Intelligence Foundational Practitioner Training Program.

I became fascinated with the human body and its ability to heal through my own health journey. Struggling with Endometriosis for two decades, I spent years navigating the medical world and then looking for solutions beyond prescription opioids and surgeries.

Through Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, I learned how compounding traumas, injuries, and life experiences can get stuck within the body and cause significant physical, mental, and emotional health issues. I also learned that healing can be very gentle. This soft-touch approach allows the body to access its own inherent healing ability and harness the potential for wellness within us all.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey back to health and balance.

Growing up in the Yukon, Barbara’s fondest memories are of running barefoot in the mountains and playing in the clay hills, returning home only when hunger called. Moving to the Shuswap, felt like a return to her natural habitat, reconnecting with nature and embracing a healthier way of life.

Through her own journey of chronic pain and frustration with conventional treatments, Barbara discovered the transformative power of holistic healing modalities previously unknown to her. This experience ignited her passion for empowering others to take control of their health and well-being. Guided by a spiritual awakening and fueled by a lifelong desire to aid others, Barbara embarked on a mission to share the Whole Health System—an approach centered on the belief that food is our medicine, aiming to uncover the root causes of suffering and facilitate holistic healing through nutrition, herbal remedies, exercise, and energy work.

In her diverse life, Barbara has served as a nursing assistant, providing care to the elderly, worked as a teacher’s aide specializing in children with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and Autism, and collaborated with an Aboriginal organization, immersing herself in Aboriginal culture, ceremonies, and sweats. Despite a successful 15-year career in real estate, Barbara felt unfulfilled, longing to fulfill her deeper purpose of helping others on a profound level. Currently pursuing studies in herbalism and holding certifications in Level 2 Reiki and the Whole Health System, Barbara is dedicated to guiding others on their journey to uncover the root cause of their ailments and achieve holistic healing.

Hello I’m Dianne Parnell, a Holistic Wellness Practitioner and Solution based Coach. I became interested in Holistic wellness at a young age after suffering from dis-ease that could not be diagnosed by traditional medicine and that I was told I would have to live with for the rest of my life. Something in my brain said, “No way, there has to be something else.” So I became a detective and sought out the training of Holistic therapies. I was hooked and continued educating myself with a more Holistic approach to health and wellness. It was through working with massage clients that I discovered that emotions can show themselves in some people and at the time I knew I wasn’t equipped to help them. So more education followed so that I could better serve my clients. I love tp keep up with learning new modalities and quite frankly am an education nerd. I practice what I preach and spend time on self care, spending time with my family and friends, walking in nature and sitting by the water as much as possible. Self care is so important for our body, mind and spirit. My family and I have lived in the Shuswap for 30 years and even though my children are grown, we still spend time as a family exploring the wonders of the Shuswap. If you are looking for a relaxing massage, reflexology or Access Bars session then you’ve come to the right place. I look forward to meeting you.

This Gypsy Soul has planted her Roots! Here’s the story of how Gypsy Moon Massage began and eventually became Sacred Mountain Massage and Wellness. Originally from Toronto, I left on a travelling adventure. I’ve lived in some beautiful places including the jungles and beaches of Costa Rica. I thought I might grow old in Costa Rica, until I experienced life in the Shuswap. After living in BC for a couple of years, I left to go back to Costa Rica, and leaving Beautiful British Columbia was the first time I ever felt homesick! It’s a horrible feeling that I never want to feel again, but it offered me great clarity. There is no doubt now that I am Home, here in the Shuswap of British Columbia, Canada. As a Gypsy, having my own business was never on my radar. Massage was a great trade to travel with and always a part time passion of mine. Finding the ground that I am Home in, allowed me the space and energy to put my focus on building a sustainable life here, fueled by something that I am passionate about. It has been 5 years since I was that barefoot wanderer. New to this town, I felt the embodiment of the name. In these 5 years, Gypsy Moon has been embraced, lifted up, expanded, torn down and reborn. The path of transformation and growth can be painful, confusing and scary. I feel so excited to be through the thick of it and to get to share the evolution with you. And I get to share it with you because you are my Home, my Anchor, my Light. You are what I have been searching for through all my travels. Which is why I no longer resonate with this name. Gypsy Moon feels dark, mystical and transient, and I have so much respect and honour for that part of who I was, because she lead me here. Here to you and here to God, I feel Solid, Grounded and Light. I feel blessed to be able to reintroduce myself on this anniversary of 5 years as…. Sacred Mountain Massage and Wellness.

Along my travels, I came across many types of healers. Always open to sharing, I learned that there are so many different ways to give, and everybody has their own unique gift to offer. This experience allowed me to integrate different healing modalities into my offerings, creating my own unique version of massage. I offer a deep and relaxing massage, using lymphatic drainage techniques that I first learned in trade school back in the year 2000. Most of the body will receive attention and love in this treatment, including the often overlooked joints like wrists, ankles and jaw. With deep strong hands, a soft intuitive touch, this massage offers a great balance that will allow your body to melt into the table and leave you floating on a cloud. Spirit•Heart•Body
